Party in the Front, Business in the Back?

So for this outfit I was inspired by....(insert drumroll) Janelle Monae! She's all about the menswear. I also love her hair, so I tried a little Crystin-Spin on it ;) If you'd like to see the inspiration for my hair/outfit, check out Janelle below.

Also, in case it is not obvious, the title of this post is a reference to my hair!

If I Had a Bajillion Dollars

I frequently see things that I want or expensive stores I'd love to shop at, but sadly I don't have enough money [yet]. So I like to imagine what I'd get if I had more money/married rich/got an awesome job. Here are just four. Enjoy!

If I had a bajillion dollars

Black is Back!

I came across this outfit in a purely accidental way. I had to wear black and white since I sing on the choir at my church and all the dresses I tried on that morning were dysfunctional. So I reached into the annals of my closet and found this skirt that I have had since I was like eight (lol!). I found a black shirt to go with it and voila! A lovely ensemble!

Outfit: Autumn is here!

Autumn is my favorite season! I love the changing leaves and the apple cider and pumpkins and the movie Hocus Pocus! I've had a crazy week filled with two tests and long, long hours of clinical, but I got to reward myself today with a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks ;)
Now how long is it til Thanksgiving???

Outfit: Rain, Rain, Go Away

I had a busy day filled with a long research class and a train ride to Philly for some errands. And since it was raining, I decided to break out my brand new leather boots. Love!

Outfit: Buttons!

Yay for outlet stores! I once thought they were overrated, but not anymore! I found this blazer from Kasper for 20 dollars and the Banana Republic shirt for only 4 at an outlet. How awesome! I love the buttons on this blazer so I paired it with a button bracelet I got from Jane's Corner.

Go to Jane's Corner and check out her store. She has really cute vintage jewelry for great prices and free shipping in the US! I've got my eye on a certain illusion necklace ;)

Outfit: Blazin' a Trail [of orange]

I confess: I probably wear this blazer too much. But I love it! It was my first ever blazer and it's orange and lovely and I love the pop of color! The easiest way for me to wear it is with a cute shirt and some skinnies.

Outfit: Hearts!

I really like this skirt, especially because it was only five dollars. Sadly it's a little too tight, so I think next time I'll wear a longer shirt ;)

Outfit: In Suspension

I've been looking for suspenders everywhere, and I finally found them. I have so many plans for these. *Cue evil laugh and sinister wringing of hands*

Outfit: Ross is the Boss

So, through a series of unfortunate events, I ended up stuck at a Ross last week. I haven't been there since I was a kid, so I didn't really know what to expect, but this store is AWESOME. They had so many clothes and shoes for great prices. I definitely had my eyes on these BCBG wedge boots that were seventy dollars. Alas, I declined the boots (sad face) and went for this dress instead since it was only twenty five dollars. I felt so classy wearing it!

Breakfast at Crystin's

This September was the fiftieth anniversary of Breakfast at Tiffany's. I admit that I wasn't too big a fan of the movie at first, but eventually I became a humongous fan of Holly Golightly, the main character. I love how she's flighty and charming and incredibly whimsical. So here's my tribute to Holly and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Enjoy!

P.S. There are more pictures here than I usually put up, but I was having so much fun! I won't apologize ;)
