Genevieve

Welcome to Part Two of my Sailor Series! (Click here if you missed Part One) If you follow me on twitter, then you know I've been dying to try pattern mixing, but that it's been another one of those things I've been afraid to try. No more! I decided to start off easy and pair two of my favorite patterns: sailor stripes and polka dots. I topped (or bottomed?) the outfit off with my favorite orange peep-toes and there you go! I think it kind of has a French flair. Or maybe a 20s flair? I'm starting to sound like I'm Jennifer Aniston in Office Space. Let me shut up.

  7. This outfit is very French-Nautical feeling to me, and I dig it. I love the unexpected pop of color from the orange shoes, too - the perfect "bottomer" for an outfit like this!

I used to be afraid of pattern mixing too - and when I actually gave it a shot, I learned that if you do it just right, no one will even realized you're mixing patterns because they flow together so well (like in this outfit). I definitely think you achieved that here!
