Studs

If you've been following me on instagram or twitter, then you've also been following my journey as I made my new studded shorts. I bought a pair of pants from a thrift store, cut them, and studded them. Pretty easy, right? I'm featuring a new locale here, so I no longer have to worry about my neighbors stopping and staring at me as I totter in heels to and from my tripod. I do, however, have to worry about the mosquitoes and other unknown buggers feasting on me. You win some, you lose some.

High/Low

 So, I've been seeing these "high/low" skirts everywhere lately. I wasn't sure how I felt about them at first, but my friend pressured me into getting one and I love it! It was also a nice opportunity to try some pastel color blocking and to rock my custom chain headdress which will be for sale soon in a store a few friends and I are opening. Yay Spring Break! This is my last ever spring break (woohoo!) and Mother Nature decided to bestow amazing weather on the east coast just for me! Which means that I can take pictures in outfits like this without having to act like I'm not cold. Seriously, I should get an Oscar for all the acting I've done! I don't understand how the other bloggers do it. 

On to other things: this blog post is so titled because I am actually wearing NO makeup in these pictures (gasp*). There are days I have where I just don't feel like putting on makeup and as long as I don't look like the pubescent version of Freddy Kreuger, it's all good :)

Is it too early to wear spring-y clothes? Oh well. I bought this last summer and only got to wear it once. So as soon as the opportunity presented itself, I wore it again. So what if it's February and Phil says we have six weeks left of winter? I don't play by the rules. I wear spring dresses in winter. Somebody stop me!

 This was a pretty fun outfit, I have to admit. I wore it to school today, mostly without the nerd glasses. At first I felt silly with them on and took em off. But when I got to class, I saw that my entire row had similar frames and I threw them on anyway. We were a  fabulous row.

When I went to get the mail before taking these pictures, I found this little dude chillin on the mailbox. It was pretty cool and he just sat there for a good five minutes posing for my pictures. I admit, I was pretty scared he would jump right in my face, but luckily, he didn't! I don't know why I'm calling him a He, but I imagine that all grasshoppers are males. But this is impossible, because if all grasshoppers were males, then there would be no grasshoppers to reproduce with. Hmmm...I guess I should stop rambling now. Toodles!

Outfit: Earthquake!

As most of you know, yesterday we had an earthquake on the east coast. I'm sure most of you laughed at us, but hey, it was a first for most of us! I was driving at the time and felt the tremor a little, but I was mostly confused. I thought it was the bass in my music, then thought it was someone else's music, and then assumed it was just a tractor trailer going by! Yup, I had a blonde moment.

I've actually had this vest for years in this was the first time I wore it. I got it at a thrift store, and just couldn't figure out how to wear it. I've thought about giving it away or throwing it out, but always felt I'd be able to get it together one day. Yesterday was that day! Mr. Jean Vest, you will now receive all of the love and attention I failed to give you all these years.
